Projects

The Company holds interest in several mineral exploration properties within the prolific Flin Flon-Snow Lake greenstone belt that extends across Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Voyageur has one of the largest claim packages in the district in both Manitoba and Saskatchewan, covering approximately 21,000 hectares in total.

The belt contains several world-class sized copper-zinc-gold (Cu-Zn-Au) deposits that were past-producers as well as active mining operations. The largest past producer, the Flin Flon Mine, contained a resource of 62.5 million tonnes of sulphide ore at 2.2% Cu, 4.1% Zn, 2.7 g/t Au, and 41.3 g/t Ag. Currently, the Lalor (15 million tonnes proven and probable reserves) and Triple 7 (2.6 million tonnes of proven and probable reserves) mines are in production and several advanced exploration projects are in progress throughout the belt.

Gold and silver vein deposits also occur within the belt with over 2Moz of historic Au production alone from the Snow Lake Mine. While this style of mineralization has only been explored intermittently, the potential for a sizeable resource is considered high within the belt.

The Company holds properties within this greenstone belt that are:

  • Highly prospective for shallow vein-hosted Au-Ag resources where previous work revealed consistent mineralization exists but was not followed up.
  • Areas containing Cu-Zn-Au similar to the Flin Flon-Snow Lake deposits, but not explored using updated genetic models for mineralization or at depths below 200 metres.
